Mobile Game Developer - Internship

About the job

Your internship program will start on June 3, 2024 and end August 9, 2024. During your time as a SlotSTUDIO game client engineering intern, you will primarily work on implementing a fully functioning frontend for a slot game to be released in one of PLAYSTUDIOS’ signature social gaming apps (such as myVEGAS Slots). You will routinely interact and work closely with a slot game development team spanning various disciplines (producer, server engineer, technical artist, VFX artist, audio engineer, quality assurance) with general guidance provided by the game client engineering team.In this role, specific job duties and responsibilities will include:

‍Responsibilities

• Understanding the fundamentals of slot games on a visual, mathematical, and behavioral level
• Familiarization of repository management software and services (Git, GitHub)
• Utilizing the Unity editor and Microsoft Visual Studio IDEs for art-client integration
• Working with and parsing JSON data needed for server-client integration and slot game flow
• Comprehending the fundamentals of and potentially making improvements to a Unity C# game framework
• Learning to read and write Lua script code to execute slot game visual behaviors and sequences in Unity
• Participating in routine games team meetings and check-ins to review and discuss project estimates and progress
